So now it comes down to this: I have more than enough songs to create this album...but at present, no place to record these songs. Bottom line: if these songs don't get recorded, they stack up on top of eachother and become obsolete in time, and thus good songs are erased before they are ever even created. We don't want that. WE NEED TO GET JODY A SPOT TO RECORD IN!!! ASAP. If anyone knows any studios around, or has a home studio, for fucks' sake hit me up would yas. I've only recorded 3 songs in 2 YEARS!!

Some of the songs that were cut off the album throughout the years: Take You Out, I Love It [Hip Hop], In My Heart, The One, Pump/Break, I Think, Lady Love, Take You Out Remix (ft. Catalyst) *this one actually did get recorded at one point, and nominated for an ECMA {East Coast Music Award}.*, Luv Wuz Made [Just 4 U], S.O.S., Open The Door, All Tha Lonely People, etc.
Some of the songs I kept on the album, continue to work on or have recently made for the project are: Sleep/Dream, Just U, Grand Theft Album, Drift Away, In Your Mind, Up In Smoke, etc.
For other releases/projects (the DNA/Monark joint, compilations, mixtapes, etc.) : Makes No Difference, U Best Run, Woman & Man, The Ultimate, Instinctz, In The Beginning, Krazy Toonz, I Like The Muzik, High, In Love So Much, ...But I Know I'm Good, Y.O.U., I Chooz U, Crowd Star, Instant Luv, etc.

After all these years of making music, you would think I would have at LEAST one studio album completed. NOOOOPE. Instead, I've got 6 amateur LP's [Welcome 2 Rivercity, Respect Ya Peace, Lacknowledgement, Double Helix Lyrix, and two untitled ones], the album and mixtape I did with MC Catalyst, tentatively titled "The Con-Science EP + Mixtape" (the first 10 tracks are the EP, produced by myself and Juliano - the last 8 tracks are all industry-beat recordings for the mixtape, we just released it all on the same disc and went ahead and let people get all confused anyways.), there are a number of mixtapes I made [The Rivercity Tapes Vol. I & II, The North Side Mixtape, etc.] plus a couple fuckaround releases called The Freestyle Sessions (2003-2009).
So, yeah...I have LOTS of released material - but NONE of it, I repeat, NONE of it, is "real" to me. They have no barcodes on the packaging. Matter of fact, there IS no packaging. I have no manager...I have no booking agent, no promoters. I don't have a distro deal with any stores or labels or anything. I don't have a lot of things...but what I DO have, is a shit load of music that I don't have a clue what to do with, and it never stops pouring out of me at top speed - I have got WAY more music and creative material than I know what to do with.
As of right now, I'm working on setting up my own home studio.
I have a relatively nice desktop PC:

This is my Acer.
It works extremely well, despite the horrible things I have heard about Acer products. It's got a pretty extensive hard drive capacity (500GB), its processing power is quickfast (3GB RAM). It's got a real nice video card [not that it has much to do with making music, its actually an audio card I need]. Only problem is, I need another keyboard and mouse; and they must be USB connectors. Other than that, computer works awesome.
This is my Apex condensor Mic...I traded 5 of my extremelyold beats that I made like 5 years ago at LEAST for it. I mean, its not the most expensive condensor mic on the market by FAR...but its something I've needed and wanted for years now, so it feels good to finally have something I've needed for a while.
I haven't tried it out yet though; I hope the quality is decent.
Props to Mahoney on that hookup! Word.

Here is my Behringer mixer...I'm not a big fan of it, really. But its all I've got to channel my sound through. I dropped the fucker recently and now something rattles on the inside if you shake it (not that you SHOULD shake it lol), but it does still work alright. I've tried my other mics, my dynamic mics like my Shure SM 80 and my AKG's on it, and they seem to even gather half decent sound from it, so meh. What can ya do?
And these babies here, these are my turntables. Numark TT1625's, they are a basic setup, but they ARE my first set, so they'll have to work for now. They do the job, anyways. I've just recently begun collecting more vinyls....I actually still need to buy needles or cartridges or something for them, my little cousins were fucking with them one day when I was at work and broke the needles off. Kids + electronics = NEVER good.Aside from a few cords and wires, that's basically all I have at the moment for a set up...I hope to construct it all this summer and get shit poppin', but only time will tell!
I'm TELLING you though...as SOON as I get 'er setup, it is ON! I will be a fucking hermit for the next 5 years, mark my words - I'll be putting put an album once a week MINIMUM, no joke. When I used to record at home, I would record a song before school, write at least 5 verses at school, come home and make beats until supper time, eat supper, go back downstairs to the booth and make about 5-10 songs out of the lyrics/beats I made that day. This was a daily occurrence... I miss those days. Back when weed was grass! LOL
